People who like to be alone have these 6 special personality traits – BayArt

People who love to spend time alone have to explain themselves, as if it goes against a societal expectation of what’s normal and what’s not.

This post will help you not to judge but understand introvert personality people and understand their choices in life. My friends ask WHY many times, I hope this post answers their question.

I can be sometimes both introvert and extrovert, depending on the mood 😛 😀

So what are you ??

In terms of our personalities and how we approach others, we are often placed in one of two categories: Introvert or Extrovert. Is it possible to be a little bit of both? Have you ever wondered what qualities specifically make up each and what they indicate? In this article we reveal what it means to…

I am a Toastmaster

Who ever hears the name of Toastmsters for the first time thinks it’s a culinary club.

That’s what I thought when my mother first joined Toastmasters, I was excited that I will get a chance to taste great food, and yes I did  get that chance, but she wasn’t the one who cooked. It was the restaurant they ordered from in every meeting.

Well Toastmasters helps to develop communication and leadership skills.

In 2004 my mother took a decision to in role me and my brother in Youth Leadership Program (YLP), at that time I was reluctant and I was afraid of speaking in-front of people with my weak English. At that time I understood everything but wasn’t able to construct a proper sentence and communicate with others in English.

I still remember the day when we had to attend an introductory meeting, and Toastmasters Mohammed Saleem from PACT asked me “What’s your name and age?”, and I stood up shivering, I couldn’t see anything, darkness was in-front of my eyes. I couldn’t say my name properly, but I said my name nervously and sat down. That was the worst moment for me, that fear resulted in having severe headache for two days continuously.

For 8 weeks I, my brother, my cousins and all my friends been in this program. This program encouraged me to join Gavels Club (Pact Orators Gavel Club, POGC). Gavels club is affiliated with Toastmasters and for teenagers who are below 18.  I discovered myself and my skills after joining gavels club, in a very short time I was able to speak confidently even if I did not have proper words to express myself so I managed to explain in very simple and understandable words. Along with developing my speaking skills and vocabulary, I focused on my accept and pronunciation of certain words. I have been told many times “You have that Arabic Accent in speaking English”, so my goal was to speak a neutral accent ( I don’t even know what it means LOL).

I was 18 when I joined the first Advanced Toastmasters Club in Bahrain called (Bahrain Advanced Toastmasters, BAT) instead of joining a normal and regular Toastmasters Club. Advanced Club is for those who have completed their basic 10 projects ( Competent Communicator projects ). I have learned many things from my senior Toastmasters in a very short time. I had quality time in that club and was the best experience I have had in Toastmasters.

Then I carried on my journey to become a charter member of Young Adults Toastmasters Club following that after many years again became a charter member of newly opened Toastmasters Club called (Bahrain Eloquent Toastmasters) and still a member. I have sponsored few clubs and mentored one. I have tried my best to evaluate in Arabic Toastmasters clubs. Participated in contests and got first or second position. I am taking my journey slow and at ease. The things are used to fear I enjoy them now just like Table topics 😀 .

I am a toastmaster since 2005. Toastmasters was the platform I needed to discover my self, to have enough confidence to express myself. The confidence I gained was not only to speak in public, but to be confident about anything in life. Where I am standing today, what I have done in my life and the opportunities I have had a partial credit goes to Toastmasters.

It’s never too late to discover your skills or polish them, conquering your fear will make you master of yourself.

Life will change .

Arafa Day

Tomorrow is Arafah Day

The ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah (the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar) is the Day of ‘Arafah.

It is the day when pilgrims stand on the plain of ‘Arafah to pray.

On this day, Muslims all over the world who do not witness the annual Hajj should spend the day in fasting, in preparation for the three days festivity following ‘Eid ul-Adha (the celebration marking the end of the Hajj commemorating the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness of sacrifice)

Just as those on Haj are blessed with the opportunity to turn to Allah, repent and

“come out as sinless as a newborn child” (Al-Bukhari)

, the ones not on Haj also get a somewhat similar opportunity.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:  “Fasting the Day of Arafat (9th Dul-Hijjah) is an expiation for (the sins of) the previous year and an expiation for (the sins of) the coming year.” (Muslim)

Not all of us can perform Haj, but almost all of us can race for Allah’s pleasure and forgiveness by fasting on the Day of Arafat which is the day of salvation from the Fire. Allah frees from the Fire those who gather in Arafat, as well as those Muslims in their home cities who can’t gather there. However, the day which follows is an Eid celebration for all the Muslims in the world, whether they were on Haj or not, because they were still included in the salvation and forgiveness of the Day of Arafat.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafat. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying, ‘What do these people want?’” (Muslim)

The Almighty made the Day of Arafat the best day of the year just like He made the Night of Qadr the best night of the year.

While no one knows for sure which night is the Night of Qadr from the last ten nights of Ramadan, Allah has made the Best Day of the year known and this is His special favor on His believing servants and a chance for them to improve their relationship with Him by way of doing all kinds of good deeds and dua.
Arafat is a day of acceptance of duas and dua is the cord that connects the human to the Almighty and according to a Hadith:

“The best of dua is dua on the day of Arafat.” (Hasan Al-Albaani in Saheeh Al-Jaami’1102)

The day of Arafat is among the most blessed times of the year in Islam. It commemorates the finality of revelation (Qur’an 5:3) and the completion of the Ḥaj pilgrimage.

It is also the day when the Prophet delivered his last sermon — A gem and a reminder of our responsibility and accountability to Allah, so read about it, reflect and strive to implement the advice. Main guidelines from the last sermon included:
• Sacredness of a Muslim’s life and property
• The importance of propagating this message to all others (A Muslim’s responsibility thus does not end by following the religion)
• A reminder that everyone is fully accountable for their deeds and Allah (God) will take every person into account. If everyone heeded to this fact alone, the world would be a much better place today.
• “Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you.” These words of the prophet are self-explanatory.
• The prohibition of dealing with interest (Numerous accounts in Qur’an and Hadith prohibit taking, giving or being a part of any transaction dealing with interest).
• “You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity.” These words of the prophet are self explanatory.
• The awareness of satin and how he can work to deviate us from the right path and doing evil things.
• Rights of women over men and rights of men over women.
• Treatment of women with kindness.
• Modesty and chastity in women.
• The importance of worshipping Allah (offering the five daily prayers, fasting Ramadan, giving charity (Zakat) and performing Haj.
• Equality among all (blacks, white, Arabs, non-Arabs, etc.)
• The need to establish justice.
• Islam is the final divine religion (Last Prophet and Last Book).

Sour Tuna Curry Recipe

I love Curry, Tuna and sour taste in mouth . Also I am a person who is not a big fan of eating things separate, I am more of a person who will combine Salad and Curry or Salad and Rice; Pasta, Haleem, Harees, Madhrooba and u name it. And I tell you if you Salad tastes good u won a jackpot by mixing your main course with Salad.

So one day I decided to do a little experiment at home combining all three in one. Ya Allah I love its taste.

PERFECT .

So yeah I usually make this dish for dinner, and tonight after a very long time I prepared this dish again and it tasted great with yogurt on side.

I have tried making the same recipe using different type tunas preserved in olive oil, sunflower oil or salt water. Each type gives a different taste to the dish, for example the dark tuna meet gives a horrible taste, salt water tuna make the dish too salty, white meet in sunflower oil gives a perfect taste. The type of tuna I used and personally prefer for this recipe is in the picture below :

132380-01

Ingredients

  1. Canned Tuna Fish – 2 cans (I used white meat tuna solid pack in sunflower oil)
  2. Tomato (chopped) – 2 medium
  3. Onion (sliced) – 2 medium
  4. Coriander– chopped
  5. Salt – As required
  6. Oil – 2 tbsp
  7. Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Chicken Stock Cube – 1 piece
  9. Oil in the Tuna Cans
  10. Cajun – 1 tbs
  11. Lemon – 1 medium

Preparation Method

  1. Do not drain the water and oil from the canned tuna fish. I prefer making this recipe in Tuna water or oil become it give a delicious taste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions till golden.20170820_201359
  3. Add tomatoes along with little salt and stir till the tomatoes are crushed. 20170820_201650
  4. Now add the cube, oil in the cans, chilli powder and Cajun powder and stir for a few minutes.20170820_202143-e1503264789838.jpg20170820_20235820170820_202443
  5. Mix the tuna fish and cook for 5-8 minutes adding later on green chopped chilli and lemon juice and chopped coriander to it20170820_202758.jpg20170820_203300.jpg20170820_203827.jpg
  6. Finally, serve the dish with some yogurt aside.20170820_204832

Like I said I love mixing salad with my main course so that’s why I don’t fry my onions till they get soft and same goes to the tomatoes i don not cook tomatoes till they get mashed and become like a paste, but until they get soft and start looking like they are crushed.

You always have the choice of adding fresh water instead of the can water or oil, but can water or oil gives a better taste. Trust me.

I prefer putting yogurt with the tuna for if it’s too spicy, salty or sour u always have something to save you 😛 .

Hope you try it out one day and share your experience or picture maybe. Let me know what you think.

Don’t Let Society Define You

Either way we want to imitate those we idolize. Now that is all well and good, but what we forget is that no matter how much we change ourselves to be like the ones that we look up to, we must shy away from being artificial and continue being our natural selves. That is what makes us the unique individuals that we are. As a result we see a lot of artificial people trying to be something that they are not all because they let society define them. Don’t let this be you.

A beautifully written blog post, I love the way the writer has written down his thoughts and beliefs. Do read the post and leave a comment sharing your thoughts.
